CMT Lotus Fitness is a virtual fitness business that gives women, dancers and other athletes the tools to succeed on their health and fitness journey no matter where they are!
Our mission is to coach clients to the best of our abilities and give them sound and responsible advice. Seeing coaching as a team effort, we work together with clients to create a healthy lifestyle that is realistic for them and help them implement the steps to succeed.
This means that there is no specific way of eating or exercising that works for everyone. With this in mind, we take your specific health and fitness goals and find the best fit for you and your body. We will work together to keep you on track and encouraged to reach your goals.
Adapting new fitness habits can be super challenging. Our goal is to work healthy habits into your lifestyle so healthy changes become a natural part of who you are and your daily routine. We want you to feel your best and love who you are!
Hi! My name is Chantal and I am the Business Owner of CMT Lotus Fitness!
I started CMT Lotus Fitness with a passion for others reach their health and fitness goals so they feel more confident, fit and energized! I believe that health isn't a one day, one diet, or one workout fix, but its a journey with goals along the way! I want to help my clients reach their goals in a matter that doesn't include fad diets, or quick fixes, I coach my clients by helping them implement steps to create a sustainable, healthy lifestyle that they love and feel in control of!
My Dance Background
I have always been passionate about leading a very active lifestyle and have been dancing since the age of three! I have formally trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, acro, and contemporary. I have had many opportunities performing in a variety of settings including on The Royal Caribbean Freedom of The Seas cruise ship in 2014 and in Riesa, Germany as a part of Team Canada competing at the International Dance World Championships. I also had opportunities teaching and choreographing at studios in the GTA and in student run shows at York University in person and online.
I attended York University and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honors Dance performance/choreography stream, Dean's Honor Roll. During my time at the university, I led a fitness workout program for the dance majors under the Dance Student's Association (DSA) and would hold weekly workout classes for students at the university. With the York Lions Dance Club I taught weekly Intermediate/Advanced Jazz class and taught Zumba® at Seneca at York.
I'm still dancing now! I love taking classes in and around the GTA, do my own practice at home and am always looking for more performance opportunities as well! I have added the circus arts to my repertoire and I practice pole and lollipop!
My Fitness Background
My health and fitness passion was also present from a young age and throughout university I spent time working on fitness certifications. During that time I did the Certified Personal Training Specialist with canfitpro and the Health Eating and Weight Loss Coach with canfitpro. I am now certified under ISSA as a certified Personal Trainer (PTS), Nutritionist, Body Building Specialist, Yoga Instructor and Transformation Specialist.
I am a ZIN Member/licensed Zumba® instructor Basic 1 and Rhythms 2, and did the Zumba® Virtual Pro course and I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC). I am currently completing my training as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS).
I am always dedicated to continue my learning and education so that my clients can get to their goals in the most safe, efficient and sustainable ways!
